I was really excited to watch the dragonboat races, but Nate's work had a co-ed team that needed more women, so I actually got to participate. Our team won the first race, so we raced again the next day-against 3 high school teams. Needless to say, that was our last race.
We practiced all month, and my arms are in great shape now. I challenged Nate to an arm-wrestling contest, but he's too afraid.
The flag-catcher has the funnest job...
There's nothing like a good victory squid-on-a-stick! (Yes, I ate it)

What is everyday to you now is still very exciting for
us back at home, thanks for blogging. Aunt Mary
That is so neat! I have always wanted to do some rowing. I think it would be a great workout.
You are a braver foodie than I am!
We saw some of the races on Friday afternoon and I thought of you. I thought of how awesome it is that you were able to participate first hand! What a fun and memorable experience. I even told Cody we're going to have to get a team together to enter the races next year. :)
And did you really eat the squid?? Wow. I have to ask, did you like it???
Is there anything you won't do? You are so brave.
That is awesome!
EEEwwww! You ate it! How was it?
So many fun memories you are creating! I'm jealous.
