Every year here in Taiwan the english ward puts on a nativity pageant at a local sportspark. This year, Nathan and I got to be Mary and Joseph. It turned out to be quite a production; there was even an article in the 'Taiwan Times' the next day. It is amazing to me that a lot of people there hadn't ever heard the story of the Nativity.
I have to admit that there was a moment or two when I thought "what did I get us into?" I had been told there were no speaking parts, so I though all we had to do was sit there and stare at a baby doll...but it turned out to be a little bit of 'silent acting' for Nathan mostly, and I did my own stunt work on the horse--riding sideways on a saddle that wasn't as secure as one would want it when doing her own stuntwork! As Nate lifted me off the horse for the 4th and final show, I heaved an inward sigh of relief! But overall, we had a great time, it was a really good experience for all of us, and it did help boost our Christmas spirit.Friday, December 19, 2008

How fun! I can't believe you even got to ride on a real horse!
WOW!!! That would be a really fun pageant to be in or to even see!! You guys look so stinking cute!!!
But look at how pretty you look as Mary! I think it is so cool that you get this experience of living out of the county.
You look beautiful in your Mary costume! What a great experience.
That's awesome! Good work! You both look way cute!
I'm confident that you were the most beautiful Mary and Nate was the most handsome Joseph Taiwan has ever hosted. What a fun family memory!
It was so good to hear from you. I can't believe you live in Taiwan. How exciting though. Your boys are adorable and you look beautiful as always! Have a Merry Christmas!
What an awesome experience! Too bad no one gave me a place ticket to Taiwan for Christmas so that I could come and see your performance. :(
You guys look amazing!
Merry Christmas!
You guys look great. I hope you had a great holiday and found the christmas spirit. I can not wait to see you, it has gone by so quick.
Your pictures are beautiful! I wish I got some better ones =). That's fun that our boys got the same pajamas on Christmas Eve. I couldn't live in Taiwan if we didn't have Costco! Thanks for my ring compliments, but I actually picked it out, so I was the only one Christmas morning with no surprises and that's a little sad too =). What are we going to do with our men- tee hee!
